Tony Yazbeck, Laura Michelle Kelly, Paul Slade Smith as (u/s) Frohman/Hook, Kristy Cates as (u/s) Mrs. Du Maurier, Dana Costello as (u/s) Mary, Christopher Paul Richards as Peter. Beautiful HD capture of Tony joining the cast with no obstructions. He gave a wonderful performance as did the understudies who were performing. A
Very good video with no obstruction, washout, or major blackouts, only a couple very quick dropouts that last only a few seconds each. Excellent clear picture and sound. Jason Robert Brown conducts the orchestra himself. A
Beautiful HD capture of the annual tribute to Christmas at Radio City. It really is a spectacular show with so many great and grand segments. There are 14 different scenes in all which include classic segments and more recent additions; a couple of times a person stands up and blocks the stage but not for long; otherwise a good video. A-
Matt Corner, Sam Ferriday, Lewis Griffiths, Stephen Webb, Amelia-Adams Pearce, Damian Buhagiar. This is my favorite Jersey Boys cast, and they deliver a sensational performance. If you cannot get to see them on stage, then one of these recordings is a must. A+
Paul Michael Glaser, Karen Mann, Emily O`Keefe, Liz Singleton, Claire Petzal, Liz Kitchen, Jon Trenchard, Steven Bor. The show was filmed with an HD camera in 16:9 wide-screen with no obstructions and action extremely well followed. Really enjoyed watching this show again in the comfort of my own home and surely a treasure to keep. The only problem is there is a drop out at the end of Act 1, but does not last for more than about 40 seconds. Other than that I do believe that this is the best DVD of the Fiddler out there.
TJ Dawson, Michelle London, Cornelius Jones Jr, Marc Ginsburg, Janay Byrd, Crystal Cole, Jake Saenz, Katie Whalley Banville, Alexis DeDonato, Jordan DeLeon, Chaz Feuerstine, Chelsea Emma Franko, Danny Hansen, Rachael Johnson, Hourie Klijian, Colden Lamb, Dallas Perry, Ala Tiatia, David Jesse Sherlock, Edred Utomi. A fun production at Moonlight Amphitheatre with great quality sets and costumes. TJ, Michelle, and Cornelius give fantastic performances. There are two very quick dropouts in act one, but the show is otherwise fully captured. There is no obstruction. There is some occasional washout, especially in wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, I’m a Believer encore, and playbill scans. A
Elizabeth Stanley, Andrew Samonsky, Cullen R Titmas, Mary Callanan, Tom Treadwell (u/s), Dave Thomas Brown, Caitlin Houlahan, Katie Klaus, Cole Burden, Caitlyn Caughell, Brad Greer, Amy Linden, Trista Moldovan, Jessica Sheridan, Matt Stokes, Bryan Welnicki. The tour is beautifully staged, and the cast is fantastic. Elizabeth and Andrew have a nice chemistry together. As an added bonus, Brown himself conducts the orchestra. A nearly perfect capture -- there is no obstruction, no washout, and no major blackouts. There are just a couple very quick dropouts that last only a few seconds each. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.A+
Mitchell Tobin, Wilkinson: Vicki Lewis, David Atkinson, Marsha Waterbury, Stephen Weston, Jake Kitchin, Jamie Torcellini, Kim Huber, Neil Dale, Sammy Gayer, RJ Higton, Brendan Knox, John B Williford, Natalie Sachse, Brandon Forrest. A fantastic regional production by McCoy/Rigby Entertainment. The cast is phenomenal, and I believe this is the only full capture of Mitchell in the role.A near perfect capture with no obstruction and no washout. The first minute of act two is blacked out, and there are a couple quick dropouts between scenes, but the rest of the show is fully intact. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.A+
Beautiful HD video filmed from the center mezzanine; clear picture and sound throughout; video includes performances from Macy's Parade and Broadway at Bryant Par.

A fantastic regional production of this show. The cast is solid and the overall production value is excellent. This is captured very well with no obstructions and only one quick dropout. There is some washout during the first 20 minutes, but almost none for the rest of the show. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.A
Alan Cumming, Emma Stone, Linda Emond, Danny Burstein, Bill Heck, Aaron Krohn, Hani Furstenberg, Stacey Sipowicz, Kaleigh Cronin, Andrea Goss, Jessica Pariseau, Kristin Olness, Leeds Hill, Dylan Paul, Evan D Siegel, Benjamin Eakeley. Another great capture of this show. Alan is wonderful as always. Emma has a very different take on the role and makes some interesting choices. This is a very nice capture with just a couple very quick dropouts. There is also one head that leans in occasionally, but it’s generally not noticeable. There is very little washout except in some wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A
Frankie Valli: Shaun Taylor-Corbett (alt), Bob Gaudio: Quinn VanAntwerp, Tommy DeVito: Nicolas Dromard, Nick Massi: Adam Zelasko, Bob Crewe: Barry Anderson, Gyp DeCarlo: Thomas Fiscella, Mary Delgado: Marlana Dunn, Joey: Ian Joseph, Norm Waxman/Nick DeVito/Charlie Calello: John Rochette, Hank Majewski/Joe Long: Tommaso Antico, Barry Belson/Hal Miller/Rap Star: De’Lon Grant, Lorraine/Frankie Nolan: Jaycie Dotin, Francine/Frankie’s Mother: Leslie Rochette, Billy Dixon: Sky Scott A nice capture of the current tour, with one of the best casts I’ve seen for this show in a long time. Each of the guys inhabits their role nicely with some fresh line readings that get a lot of laughs. There are two very quick dropouts in act one, and some sparse obstruction when someone walks through the aisle or leans forward in their seat, but it’s all rarely noticeable. A beautiful capture overall. As usual, it’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups, and the sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans.
Cast: Rileigh McDonald (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey - last), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood - last), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood - last), Clay Thomson (Michael Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps - last), Philip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Sean Montgomery (u/s Miss Trunchbull), Colin Israel (u/ s Party Entertainer), Jennifer Bowles (Acrobat), Michael Minarik (Escape Artist), Benjamin Harding (Bruce), Zoe Manarel (Lavender).
Nice capture from the rear mezz of the 2015 cast change show of Matilda on Broadway. The remarkable Lesli Marghertia who was the original Mrs. W played her final performance. She (as did all the others) gave a brilliant show. I have mixed opinions on Rileigh as Matilda, wasn't to fond of the American accent however. Karen was hysterical as Mrs. Phelps. Philip and Lesli gave a showstopping Loud. I believe Lesli screamed 'Wormwood Forever' or something like that at the end of the show. Some washout, some obstruction, but a nice recording of the cast change. Highlights only . I was upset the show didn't have any speeches at the end. Lesli was emotional throughout the curtain call and bows
.
Brooks Brantly, Ross Cowan, Omar Edwards, Anthony J Goes, Brandon Nagle, Desmond Newson, Damian Thompson, Terrell Wheeler. A near perfect capture of this fantastic and fascinating play about African-American World War II pilots. There is no obstruction, no washout, and just one quick blackout. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A
Sean Hayes, David Josefsberg, James Gleason. Sean Hayes is absolutely hysterical as God. The show is full of great adlibs, one-liners, and recent pop-culture references, many of which are different from the Broadway version. This is a near perfect capture with no washout, no obstruction, and just one quick dropout. The show is 90 minutes with no intermission. It’s filmed in 16:9 with mostly close-ups and a few wider shots. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A
Alison Luff, Will Collyer, Matt Magnusson, Teya Patt, Kacee Clanton, Nita Whitaker, Katherine Tokarz, Robert W Arbogast, Fatima El-Bashir, Jessica Jaunich, Reed Kelly, Christopher Marcos, Dominic Pierson, Andrew Pirozzi, Terrance Spencer, Laura L Thomas, Samantha Zack. A promising new show; the music is great, the characters are relatable, and the story is engaging. Alison anchors the show well and gives a fantastic performance with both her vocals and acting. Kacee is also a standout with her powerful performance of Breathe In in act two. A great capture with no washout and just a couple quick dropouts. There is one small head that can occasionally be seen at the bottom of the screen, but it’s rarely noticeable and doesn’t affect the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes playbill scans. A
Joey Barreiro (Jack Kelly), Morgan Keene (Katherine), Stephen Michael Langton (Davey), Zachary Sayle (Crutchie), Steve Blanchard (Joseph Pulitzer), Aisha de Haas (Medda Larkin), John Michael Pitera (Les), Andrew Wilson* (u/s Darcy), Kevin Carolan (Governor Roosevelt), Mark Aldrich, Bill Bateman, DeMarius Copes, Michael Dameski, Nico DeJesus, JP Ferreri, Sky Flaherty, Kaitlyn Frank, Michael Gorman, Stephen Hernandez, Meredith Inglesby, Devin Lewis, James Judy, Nicholas Masson, Alex Prakken, Jordan Samuels, Daniel Switzer, Chaz Wolcott, Iain Young, Anthony Zas. A nice capture from the front orchestra, that results in some great close ups! This DVD gives you a perspective that most Newsies captures’ cannot. Zachary Sayle and Morgan Keene are huge standouts and gave fantastic performances. The action is followed nicely given the proximity to the stage, but some pieces of action have the focus delayed or are missed, as you can probably assume, dance numbers are hard to follow this close to the stage. Chaz gave a very funny BCEFA speech that is included (audio only). This capture is more wobbly than the (3/17) performance given where it was filmed in the theatre, near perfect audio that is synced with my Zoom H2. A-
Sky Flaherty, Stephen Hernandez, Nick Masson, Jordan Samuels, Chaz Walcott, Iain Young, Anthony Zas, Devin Lewis, Alex Prakken, Michael Dameski, Joey Barreiro, John Michael Pitera, Stephen Michael Langton, Becca Peterson, Kaitlyn Frank, Morgan Keene, Ethan Steiner. A very cute variety show hosted by Chaz Walcott benefiting BCEFA. This show had it all: dancing, singing, Hamilton rapping, shirtless Newsies, and for all you fancies out there, two of them even kissed. The whole show is here, but the trivia portion and curtain call are audio only due to the house lights being risen for audience participation. Slightly wobbly at times and during dance numbers, near perfect audio that is synched with my Zoom H2. A

I think this has to be my favorite Newsies capture of mine to date. This capture is filmed in a very nice location that makes the action very easy to follow and is the least wobbly, in my opinion. Please disregard the timestamp, as it is reading the wrong date due to a firmware update on my camcorder. There are no blackouts and includes curtain call, near perfect audio that is synched with my Zoom H2. A
Alex Brightman, Sierra Boggess, Spencer Moses, Mamie Paris, Taylor Caldwell, Evie Dolan, Jersey Sullivan, Carly Gendell, Ethan Khusidman, Bobbi MacKenzie, Dante Melucci, Brandon Niederauer, Luca Padovan, Jared Parker, Isabella Russo, Corinne Wilson, Shahadi Wright Joseph. A fantastic new show with a super talented cast. The kids are phenomenal, all playing their instruments live on stage. Alex is perfectly cast as Dewey and leads the show well. A very nice capture with no obstruction, no washout, and just a couple quick dropouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A.
Mark Whitten, Devin Archer, Cassie Simone, Emily Goglia, John Devereaux, Lawrence Cummings, Amber Mercomes, Cooper Howell, Chassey Bennett, Daniel Dawson, Chanel Edwards-Frederick, Aaron Gordon, Craig Michael Lucas, Luke Monday, John Pinto, Jr, Alyssa M Simmons. A great regional production with a talented cast. Well captured overall just a couple quick dropouts. There is some slight occasional washout and a few small heads at the bottom of the screen, but they generally don’t affect the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A
Katharine McDonough, Martin Kildare, Richard Gould, Matthew Henerson, Eric Michael Parker, Debra Cardona, Mary Gordon Murray, Antwone Barnes, Jennasea Bauserman, Ruben Carbajal, Venny Carranza, Megan Cherry, Kellie Cundiff, Cole Cuomo, Ariel Daly, Elizabeth Eden, Deborah Fauerbach, Marisa Field, Lance Galgon, Sylvie Gosse, Gabriel Kalomas, Kirk Schuyler Lawson, Gabriel Navarro, William Peltzer, Nikki Spies, Katherine Tracy, Susanna Vaughan, Karl Warden, Stephen Weston. A perfect capture of this classic, and Katharine is very charming as Eliza. There is no obstruction, no washout, and no blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, Martin’s BC/EFA speech, and playbill scans. A
Alyssa Fox (Elphaba), Carrie St. Louis (Glinda), Jake Boyd (Fiyero), Wendy Worthington (Madame Morrible), Stuart Zagnit (The Wizard), Liana Hunt (Nessarose), Lee Slobotkin (Boq), Chad Jennings (Dr. Dillamond). Alyssa gave a performance for the history books. This capture was filmed shortly after Alyssa & Carrie announced they would be leaving the tour, and you can tell that both leading ladies wanted to go out with a bang. Alyssa sounds on top of her game, and performed a Defying Gravity that gave me chills. This performance was filmed in the rear balcony, there is some spotlight washout that does stay consistent through the capture, the screencaps do give an honest example. The action is followed extremely well and there are no blackouts. Curtain call is included and audio is near perfect, synced with my Zoom H2. A-

The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, Martin’s BC/EFA speech, and playbill scans. A
- Wicked
