Cast: Eliza Holland Madore (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita ( Mrs. Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillips Spaeth (Rudolpho), Sophia Roma Rubino (u/s Lavender), Mitchell Sink (Bruce), Jonah Halperin (Nigel), Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Christian Michael Camporin (Eric), Alexa Shae Niziak (Alice), Ava DeMary (Hortensia), Chris Sumpter (Tommy), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Geoff Packard (Doctor/Sergei/The Escape Artist) Ensemble: Scott Difford, Marisa Kennedy, Matt Meigs, Cassie Silva, Clay Thomson)
Format: VOB+smalls
Notes: A great capture of Eliza’s Matilda, and she’s fantastic in the role. There are a few heads at the bottom of the screen, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. There are some quick dropouts in each act, and Telly is audio only while the house lights are on, but there are no other major blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans. 2 DVDs.
Matilda (January 1, 2015, Broadway)
Cast: Matilda: Tori Feinstein, Miss Trunchbull: Christopher Sieber, Miss Honey: Alison Luff, Mr Wormwood: Matt Harrington, Mrs Wormwood: Lesli Margherita, Mrs Phelps: Karen Aldridge, Bruce: Mitchell Sink
Format: VOB+smalls
Notes: An excellent capture of Tori as Matilda. She’s a very impressive young actress, and has her own fresh take on the role. The rest of the cast is solid as well; I believe this is the first capture of Alison Luff, and she steps into the show beautifully. This is very nicely captured with no washout, no major blackouts, and very little obstruction. A railing blocks the very front left corner of the stage, but only the actors’ legs are unseen. Telly is audio only; the video for act two begins when the house lights go down and Lavender takes the stage. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. 2 DVDs.
Matilda (June 9, 2015, 1st National Tour, Los Angeles, CA)
Cast: Mabel Tyler (Matilda), Bryce Ryness (Miss Trunchbull), Quinn Mattfeld (Mr. Wormwood), Cassie Silva (Mrs. Wormwood), Jennifer Blood (Miss Honey), Ora Jones (Mrs. Phelps), Jaquez Andre Sims (Rudolpho/Party Entertainer), Danny Tieger (Michael) Justin Packard (Escape Artist), Wesley Faucher (The Acrobat), Ian Michael Stuart (Doctor), Cal Alexander (Nigel), Kayla Amistad (Amanda), Luke Kolbe Mannikus (u/s Bruce), Serena Quadrato (u/s Lavender), Aristotle Rock (Eric), Cassidy Hagel (Alice), Meliki Hurd (Tommy), Megan McGuff (Hortensia) Ensemble: Michael Fatica, John Michael Fiumara, Shonica Gooden, Stephanie Martignetti, Darius Wright
Format: VOB
Notes: Excellent quality! There are lots of close-ups and there is no spotlight washout although there are a few short blackouts in each act, particularly towards the end of Act 2. A bowl of food falls of the birthday table in 'Miracle', and the discipline sign falls down at the end of 'The Smell of Rebellion'. Includes programme scans at the end.

Telly is blacked out; act two video begins with Lavender’s entrance. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Format: VOB+smalls
Notes: A great capture of Mimi’s performance and the rest of the new cast on Broadway. Mimi has her own take on the role and gives a wonderful performance. A very nice capture overall, with a bit of obstruction and a few short blackouts. There are a couple heads and a railing that can be seen at the bottom of the screen, but they generally only block the actors’ feet. There are three blackouts: the first two minutes of act one, one minute during the first Wormwood scene, and one minute just before the spelling scene in act two. There are also a couple other very short dropouts. There is some occasional washout, especially in wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A-
